Heartfelt Journey: Our Path to Parenthood

Today, we’re thrilled to share some phenomenal news with you all, though we respect that touches on a topic that’s very sensitive for many. As you might imagine, families across our nation, and indeed within the Commonwealth, often face tough, complex decisions regarding their futures—decisions about building their families that are not made lightly.

In the spirit of openness and hoping to encourage others who might be on a similar path, we want to share our personal story with you. After much consideration and many heartfelt discussions, Jessica and I have decided to embark on a journey of in vitro fertilization (IVF) with the help of the medical care team at Shady Grove Fertility. This decision is prompted by Jessica’s health conditions, which have presented challenges to natural conception.

Recently, we received some incredibly uplifting news from our doctors: we have been blessed with two healthy embryos, one boy and one girl. The path to get here hasn’t been easy—it’s been filled with a series of medications, hormonal treatments, and countless doctor’s appointments. Through it all, Jess has been the epitome of strength and grace, and it is my honor to be part of this journey to parenthood with her.

Today marks a significant step as we proceed with the transfer of our baby girl! We are filled with hope and joy as we move forward, and we want to bring you along with us in this celebration of new life.
