“UNITY!” Means Nothing If It Protects Lies: Rothman and Pa GOP Ignore Grieving Family’s Plea

April 22, 2025

As of today, the Prince for Justice campaign has not received any response from Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Gregory Rothman, PA GOP Attorney Tom King, or Party leadership regarding our formal letter sent on April 17th.

The letter respectfully urged the Party to denounce and remove a politically motivated, AI-generated video that spread a false narrative about a tragic training accident—causing renewed pain and suffering for the family of the man who was injured.

Despite the McMahon family’s public outcry and their call for accountability, Party leadership has remained silent. Instead, Mike McMullen has doubled down in vilely distributing the video:

And the Pa GOP social channels have promoted endorsed candidates, highlighted Chairman Rothman’s keynote speech at a Spring Dinner, and boasted about “what Republicans around Pennsylvania got done this past week.” No amount of photo ops, speeches, or curated posts can conceal the reality: the Party is protecting lies by refusing to act.

So much for the claims of integrity and unity…

Is this your Pa GOP? I know it isn’t mine, as these vile actions are beyond reprehensible. The fact that the Pa GOP will not even denounce these actions, let alone call for the removal of the posts and video, says a lot about the current and future status of the Pennsylvania Republican Party. The failure of my opponent, Matt Wolford, as well, who was notified of McMahon’s statement also says a lot… Is this what politics in Pennsylvania has come to? It seems so… So much for judicial temperament.

We continue to stand with the McMahon family, denounce the posts and video, and demand their removal. Will you?

Yours in Truth, Liberty, and Justice,
Joshua Prince, Esq.
